What is Sonos?

The basic Sonos product is a ZonePlayer. Generally you need one of these in each room although you can group rooms into a single zone, meaning you will play the same thing at the same volume in that Zone.

All Zone players require Speakers to play their output. Most speakers are passive meaning they are not amplified. The ZP120 is an amplified zone player so you just need a set of passive speakers. See our Speaker range which is specifically selected for the ZP120.

If you already have speakers in place connected with an existing hi-fi (surround sound, MiDi system and so on) then you won’t need an amplified output from the Zoneplayer. You can plug a ZP90 into your existing hi-fi which will provide the amplified output to your speakers.
